From tiny beginnings to oceans I discovered the world in words

For National week

Shin-rin-yoku.

.

soft underfoot path

makes for silent walking

my shin-rin-yoku

.

stillness in pine scented air

tree top temple roof and sky

pine cone mala beads

.

birds flutter singing

an ever-moving sangha

spirit of the wood

.

all faiths and beliefs

can get something from this place

peace, love, compassion

.

  1. I don’t know if these are separate verses but they are so beautiful together as one poem. And equally so as stand alone. 🙂

  2. I did not know there was a National Tree Week.
But then I think for every day on the calendar one can find several National something or other day 😉

I really liked this part: “pine cone mala beads”

So much to learn from nature. 🙂
