  2. I feel you have two good haiku here, as in the traditional one line approach by Japanese poets:

    trees are yellowing shadows lengthen just the same

    shadows lengthen just the same nearly tea time

    Both “monoku” have a different approach to pace and delivery and tone.

    • I did have first one of these originally then fiddled it into 3 lines. Who knows what may come when I finally get to February 2023 and have worked through the 72 seasons of ancient Japan. I suspect I shall have a lot of editingto do. Thanks Alan.

    I just read recently that the State will be ‘changing our clocks’ for the last time come October 6. We will then be on Day Light Savings time forever…(until?)
