  1. This reminds me of the first shooting star I ever saw… Lovely.

    • I have never seen a shooting star but this was amazing. Far bigger than I ever imagined even though we were told about them.

      • What was it… that you saw?

      • A meteor. It was big. The brightest thing I have ever seen in my life. Apparently earth has found its way into a lot of debris which burns up when it enters the earth atmosphere. That is what the meteor shower we are seeing at the moment is. When it is not cloudy of course.

      • I haven’t seen a Meteor shower up close. But via telescope I’ve seen The Pleiades also known as The Seven Sisters. I’ve seen the Milky Way – but I haven’t seen the Aurora Borealis.

      • Aurora Borealis is something I would love to see. My husband has a refracting telescope but there is so much cloud it doesn’t come out very often.

  2. Thank goodness for these surprises and you should make old woman plural…. It surprises me too.
