Reluctance (acrostic)

Reluctant to force words from my tired mind
Even though my pencil is poised to write
Looking back over the last seven days
Usually I aim to find something bright.
Colours swirl into a whirling rainbow
That spins on an axis of work and fun
All around birdsong and flowers so sweet
Nothing compares once nature’s begun
Caring enough to enjoy and conserve
End pollution, that’s what our children deserve.
