From tiny beginnings to oceans I discovered the world in words

26 days into September

the wheel of the year
yellow gold and bronze turning
bringing harvest home

red hips and berries
abundant in the hedgerows
Michaelmas daisies

I didn’t know the name of this flower…but I have seen them in my neighborhood.

Because of our lack of rain in these parts our autumn has being predicted to be less colorful in regard to autumn leaves.

    • Some people know them as Wild Asters. They flower around Michaelmas which is 29th Sept. They seem to grow best on wasteland.

      • There are many different calendars to watch the seasons go by…
I have a friend who is now a retired teacher and was always sad when the day lilies bloomed in her yard knowing soon school would be starting.

  2. love all the colours and tones you convey here!
