From tiny beginnings to oceans I discovered the world in words

Buttercup season

so many

daisies look

like snow

beside the

dog rose

flowering pink.

Another season.

Pink seedy grass grows

taller than the buttercups

waiting for combine

to make hay while the sun shines

will feed the cows in winter.

  7. Each season has it’s marvels. The ones weather related as well as emotional ones.
I remember somewhere a conversation about how different cultures have more than just the four seasons known as Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

While on a car ride a few days ago I saw a couple of horse riders going through farm fields.
I haven’t been on a horse in years. And your piece reminds me of the freedoms this season offers… no coats, the feeling of being free and yet we prepare each day for the next season. Nicely done.

  8. Thank you Jules. You never cease to amaze with your mastery of words and I appreciate your comment very much. Thank you. X
