Haiku duo written at the Speke Estate which lies beside the River Mersey and Liverpool airport.

sitting, listening,

bird song, flower scented air-

bluebell wood at Speke

– – – –

daisy strewn orchard-

apple blossom undisturbed

by ascending jet

    The edges of a beach is a great place to people watch too.
    While waiting to go on our Schooner tour (we arrived early to secure parking) we were able to walk along some of the little beaches in Virginia along the river.
