From tiny beginnings to oceans I discovered the world in words

The autumn sun broke through the mist
highlighting a wealth of gold in the
trees,
flickering on the road in an irregular
rhythm
like the music of Scott Joplin.
Enveloping me in it’s warmth through the
car window,
on the day it was not my turn to drive.

  1. You’ve captured the feeling of autumn so nicely here, Elaine. I especially like the lines ‘…flickering on the road in an irregular / rhythm / like the music of Scott Joplin.’

  2. Thanks Polly. I am only a learner at all this.
