From tiny beginnings to oceans I discovered the world in words

Triolet of Calmness

I sit and gaze into a candle flame,

to still my soul, slow my breath, free my heart,

anxiety within me starts to wane,

I sit and gaze into a candle flame,

in meditative state I take my aim,

and should my concentration come apart,

I’ll sit and gaze into a candle flame,

to still my soul, slow my breath, free my heart.

  1. Beautiful little poem. I love the triolet form.

  2. Thank you Libby,

  3. Now I’ll have to look into this form. I’ve rearranged my site so all my forms are on one page. I hope it isn’t too confusing. But I had to get rid of some pages.

I’m going to need some calming time – this week my ‘unbangled’ wrist will be working overtime – in a good way. Cheers and thanks for your visits ~Jules
